The Viper Room, one of Hollywood's most famous and infamous nightclubs, is launching a T shirt collection to celebrate its 20th anniversary.
The Sunset Strip venue, partly owned at one time by actor Johnny Depp, opened in 1993 and quickly became a hangout for Hollywood hipsters and a host for entertainment by top acts in alt-rock, punk and metal. A shadow fell over the club when actor River Phoenix died of a drug over dose outside its doors on Oct. 31, 1993.
The rock 'n' roll couture line includes shirts, jeans and accessories made in the USA from such premium materials as imported Japanese denim from the Kurabo fabric factory.
Viper Room cotton T-shirts feature the club logo. All shirts have a signature guitar pick sewn into the label at the neck and Viper Room matchbooks as the hanging tag. The shirts are packaged in vinyl record covers. Now available @ Rock Etiquette.
